The mastery of several coring and drilling techniques allows Foraco
to apply unusual techniques or to realise very high diameter core
drillings.
Foraco possesses the competencies and equipments to carry out on
barge or heliportable drillings.
| Special
drillings
FORACO engineers and technicians develop and validate special
sampling methods to cater for very difficult cases, where
the geology prevents the use of standard techniques. Our successful
operations include carrying out drilling programmes in water-saturated
laterites, in quartzite with extreme dip (>75°), and
in very highly thixotropic terrains. |

ODEX drilling method with Reverse Circulation
| FORACO is also able
to implement the ODEX drilling method using the reverse
circulation technique. This specific method developed by
FORACO Groupe is used for geological research, particularly
in unconsolidated or difficult formations (basalt, scoria,…). |

Large diameter drilling
| Foraco
has realised 200 mm diameter core drillings. |
Very large diameter drilling
FORACO has developed
expertise in large diameter drilling (1500 mm) enabling
some of its clients to collect a semi-industrial sample
(several hundred tons) over the whole surface of a deposit
and so to supply a pilot processing operation. The range
of use is 0 to 70 metres and the maximum diameter is
1500 mm.
Foraco has one special rig dedicated to this type of
drilling. |

Off-shore drillings
