Every mining operation requires drilling, whether it's grassroots exploration in Canada’s high arctic or development drilling at an existing mine in New Caledonia. Foraco participates in drilling activity throughout the life cycle of a mine, from initial exploration and resource assessment, to bulk sampling. Foraco provides its customers with the information they need by delivering accurate geological samples either by core drilling or by producing a chip sample, usually with a reverse circulation rig. By its very nature, exploration drilling requires Foraco drill crews to overcome difficult or highly variable ground conditions on remote drill site locations and tough terrain in order to conduct their work safely. These factors demand the right people, equipment and business acumen for a successful outcome. For development stage drilling, Foraco can provide end-to-end solutions including bulk sampling or preproduction drilling, as well as managing groundwater issues, including water monitoring, extraction or injection. Foraco expanded its drilling operations into North America first in 2006 by establishing an office in North Bay, Ontario, then further grew its North American operations through the acquisition of Connors Drilling in 2007 and Northwest Sequoia Drilling in 2008. Despite adverse economic conditions, Foraco continued to expand in 2009 and acquired a controlling interest into Mosslake Drilling Ltd, Perth, Australia. Foraco’s exceptional service offering has not gone unnoticed. With this enhanced global presence, our services have now been retained by virtually all of the top mining companies in the world. | | | | | | | | Diamond drilling | | | Reverse circulation
